PricewaterhouseCoopers and University of
Georgia Jointly Develop Custom MBA Program for
Consultants
PricewaterhouseCoopers and the University of Georgia Terry College of
Business have jointly developed an MBA program that is geared toward the
specific needs of PricewaterhouseCoopers consultants.
PricewaterhouseCoopers consultants will take part in a two-year
MBA program through a combination of classroom instruction and
out-of-classroom exercises and interaction. Consultants will use distance
learning technologies such as discussion and collaboration software that
will enable students in different locations to work on team
projects.
The program is being piloted over a three-year period and
will involve two groups of students. The first group began the program on
October 18, 1998.
"The UGA program is specifically tailored to the
time and education needs of PricewaterhouseCoopers consultants," said
Sandra Kinsey, managing director and head of training and development for
PricewaterhouseCoopers’s management consulting practice. "The program has
been carefully designed to provide a business administration education
with a consulting focus so that what is learned in this program can be
directly applied to a consultant’s everyday client work."
"We are
excited about this opportunity to develop a unique MBA program for
PricewaterhouseCoopers, one that leverages its consulting knowledge and
our faculty expertise and MBA program experience," said P. George Benson,
dean of UGA's Terry College of Business. "Through this program,
PricewaterhouseCoopers consultants will be able to use Sanford Hall, the
college's new learning center, as well as the extensive instructional
technology now at our disposal. This program will influence the direction
and mode of delivery of all future graduate business programs at Terry
College."

business performance through seamless integration of strategic change,
