The last examination of the semester will be held during our regularly scheduled examination period, Monday, May 7, 2012, 12:00 noon. You may expect an exam similar to the exam you have already completed this semester. As such, you should be able to complete the exam in 60 minutes. The exam is cumulative in the sense that computer science is cumulative. It is impossible to understand the later material without a thorough understanding of the earlier material. You may expect questions like you have seen before, questions similar to questions you have seen before, and questions unlike anything you have ever seen. You are expected to synthesize, assimilate, and apply the content we have covered. You may also expect some "reaching" questions, which attempt to ascertain whether or not you have required fundamental knowledge for upper level study of related computer science topics.
You may bring one standard size cheat sheet to the exam (8 1/2 x 11) with any information you wish to include. It may be double sided.
